Vikram Pande

Hey there!👋 I’m Vikram, from Pune, India. I have obtained my master’s degree from NC State University in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department with a focus in Machine Learning. I currently work as a Machine Learning Engineer at Dentsply Sirona.

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been surrounded by computers, whether it was playing games, watching movies, or surfing the internet. I’ve witnessed the evolution of technology, both in terms of software and hardware. I still remember being fascinated by the latest NVIDIA graphic cards for gaming, and this fascination continued till the GPUs advanced for deep learning. Given my love for computers, it was only natural for me to choose Computer Science after completing my schooling. I dived into software coding, microprocessor coding, and hardware. To explore further, I decided to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications, where I was introduced to AI and Machine Learning through my coursework, back in 2018. I was instantly captivated by the potential of AI to revolutionize the future, and I made the decision to contribute to this field. I started working in Accenture in Machine Learning and NLP to gain industry experience. After gaining some exposure, I decided to pursue a Master’s degree related to AI, ML and Data Science.

I am interested in Research and my research interests include the fusion of Vision and Language, Representation Learning in Vision-Language models (Generative and Multimodal), Large Foundation Models, and Model Interpretability. I am also learning Statistics and occasionally solve problems on Leetcode.

Apart from this, I enjoy watching movies and anime. I love to watch different sports and I am a fitness enthusiast.
